Imagine how well off the world would be if one can make prescription glasses completely free of cost. Is it even possible? Is it practical? Why are we discussing it here if it is not?

It is not so practical but is eminently possible a solution. Imagine this: There are 6 billion odd people in this world and about 2 billion of them are suffering from something related to eyes and sight. Some 50% of them need prescription glasses and about 75% of them are from developing countries. The numbers are staggering. So, what are we going to do about it?

This is where a bit of positive thinking works wonders.

All one has to do is to go after the charitable and non governmental organizations and people like world bank to get some aid. And, get that aid to pay for the glasses from the best of the glass manufacturers. Ensure that you get a band of different types of basic prescription glasses made readily. Just have the frames also made with the cheapest of the material but which can endure heat and rough usage etc.

This makes it eminently possible to have the world of eye sight cured and the world a much better place to live in.
